A gathering for fans of glass pipes and accessories from the cannabis community, a unique opportunity to see how the pieces are made live.

During the 27th to 29th of March, the first edition of BoroFest took place in Barcelona, three days dedicated to the culture of glass, accessories and pipes for smokers.
For three days, the facilities of Nau Bostik, community-run sociocultural facilities located in the La Sagrera neighborhood of Barcelona, hosted this event which served as a meeting and entertainment for fans of pipe culture and smoking accessories made of borosilicate glass, a material highly resistant to thermal shock and chemicals, composed mainly of silica and boron oxide.
Boro Fest is Barcelona's first festival dedicated to the fascinating art of glassblowing. As the organizers themselves say, "It's an independent celebration created by and for the glass art community: no big corporate sponsors, no competitions, just people coming together to share creativity, culture, and connection."
During the three days, attendees were able to enjoy live glassblowing demonstrations by more than 25 artists from different countries such as Heliox Glass, Sofía Plana, Good Smoka, Bobby Glassic, 78 Glass, Fichei, Carla Martín, Sibelley, Zach Brown, Agustina Ros or No MeltDown.
There were also large areas dedicated to the craft, art, and tool market. Numerous stalls from various brands and artisans offered a wide array of accessories, including mouthpieces and pipes of all shapes, colors, and sizes, as well as decorative glass pieces.
Throughout the spacious venue, there were several rest areas where you could sit and enjoy the best smokes while chatting with other attendees. You could also refuel at the food stalls, which offered vegan and gluten-free options, as well as coffee and various other beverages.
There was also an urban art area with live painting, like that of the artist MuyMalpensante, and installations, as well as various parallel activities for everyone's entertainment. Each day, after the main event, we could continue enjoying small events at some of the festival's partner clubs, such as Harbeys, which became a popular meeting point.
We are already looking forward to the second edition of this magnificent festival.
