From June 7th to 9th, the 3rd edition of the Kannasur fair took place at the Navigation Pavilion on Cartuja Island in Seville.

This is the third consecutive year that the Kannasur fair has been held, seeking to fill the gap in events that bring together the cannabis community and support the development of the sector in Andalusia. On this occasion, the organizers opted to expand the activities and space dedicated to the cannabis community and reduce the number of musical performances.

This year's edition once again featured an indoor and outdoor area within the Navigation Pavilion. Outside, in addition to the stage for concerts, talks, and food stalls, a stand area was set up for cannabis associations and drinks. This area and the talks were organized by LosMejoresHumos in collaboration with the Kannasur trade fair. The "Los Mejores Humos" area consisted of five aisles with around 40 stands occupied by representatives of cannabis user associations as well as representatives from the organizers of some of the cannabis drinks held around Spain. Most of the associations present were from the province of Seville, although there were also some from the Autonomous Community of Andalusia and a few others from Madrid (Still High), Catalonia (Snake and BlueDream), and Cantabria (Bolera Besaya). One of the Barcelona associations was accompanied at its stand by the glass smoking accessories and accessories brand 78 Glass.

In the section dedicated to Cannabis Cups, there were several stands with representatives from the organizations of some of the various competitions that usually take place throughout the year at the national level, such as The Mediterranean Cup, Copa Bolera Besaya, FullMoon-Sesh, Volcanna, DogoCup, CannaReunión, or MayorFlorCup, from where they offered information on the organization of the events and how to participate in the competitions.

Inside the Navigation Pavilion were all the stands of the stores and companies in the sector, such as Seeds Promo - Semilleros Viajeros, Dutch Masters, UtreGrow, Positronics, Trabe, Atami, CultiHemp Distribuciones, Hortitec, PlantaSur, Dutch Pro, and Roican, among others.

On Friday, the venue's doors opened at 11 a.m. Although there were some delays with the setup of some stands, which were resolved throughout the day, attendees continued to arrive at the Pavilion to attend talks, visit clubs and brands at their booths, and participate in the activities taking place throughout the first day. Throughout the day, the scheduled talks continued, beginning with Gabriela Sierra (lawyer and current president of the political party Luz Verde), who gave a detailed presentation of a workshop on how to create a private cannabis user association. Next up, CONFAC representatives Margarita and Manuel Casas (members of the Verde Verde association of Cádiz) and Antonio (member of the Alacannabis association of Alicante and current president of CONFAC) gave a talk explaining the work the Conference of Federations of Associations does at the national level and how it operates at the regional level. The third talk was given by Heztor Brotons and Esther Sánchez of the Brotsanbert law firm, who explained their work with drug testing fines and their work with cannabis user associations. We then had the opportunity to meet with Tropi Helga (event organizer and collaborator with various associations), who gave a lecture on terpenes and their importance in determining the aroma, flavor, and effects of cannabis. To conclude Friday's talks, we heard from lawyer Marta Luxan (Still High Madrid), who explained some details about the current situation regarding user associations and the current and future challenges facing these entities in achieving legal certainty.

Before, during, and after the talks, there were musical performances by various artists, including DJ Darío Fernández, Mapuxesound, and Anyelo and Andreas Lutz.

In the "Best Smokes Zone," a festive atmosphere developed as the day progressed. The numerous clubs represented showcased a bit of their work and community from each of their stands. Dozens of associations, mostly from Seville, had a stand at the fair: Hindu Kush, Selecta, Green Diamond, Bad Dog, Still High, Bluedream, Bolera Besaya, Snake, New Amsterdam, La Vendición, Mr. Budz, Green Temple, Bendita Maria, Mina Verde, Fatmonkey, Supreme, Isla Verde, Corders Green, Room39, The Alchemist, Aljannabis, etc.

And the night of the first day ended with a certain amount of revelry among attendees and exhibitors to the rhythm of music played by some of the DJs from the stands in the club area, as well as some beatboxing, just to leave us eager for Saturday to arrive.

The big day arrived with people arriving early. The weather was pleasant, with fairly high temperatures, but some fresh air due to the proximity to the river. If not, some refreshments helped make the day easier. Greetings, hugs, people browsing, and little by little, we were once again immersed in the festive atmosphere, livened up by DJ Darío Fernández during those early hours.

At noon, the "Police Reformist Group" gave a very interesting lecture on the main stage, presenting their perspective on what they consider an unnecessary waste of resources, both personnel and funds, related to the prosecution of cannabis users who consume cannabis privately. Giving us examples of police actions, their colleagues agreed that users are generally criminalized when they are stopped and searched for any indication that they see that could be related to the possible possession of cannabis or derivatives. They are often punished with an administrative fine for small quantities or for having plants grown at home, even if they are for personal use.

A representative of the "Police Reformist Group" participated in the second talk of the day, which followed. Also participating in the "Great Debate: On the Road to Legalization" were Alejandro Barrantes (Lawyer), Antonio (ConFac and Alacannabis), Gabriela Sierra (Lawyer), Joan Bertomeu (Lawyer), Marta Luxan (Lawyer), and Javier Díaz representing Los Mejores Humos. Each of the speakers offered an overview of current events and their perspectives on various issues related to the lack of laws safeguarding the rights of cannabis users, the general situation in Spain as well as in other countries, and the future of associations and other organizations.

After the midday talks and debate, music returned to liven up the afternoon and warm up for the evening concerts. We enjoyed the rhythms and lyrics of various artists such as Goback, Mario Palma, Faenna, and Anyelo & Andreas Lutz, who led the way until the last two main acts: Gordo Master and then Raimundo Amador.

Sunday's session kicked off with music again from DJ Darío Fernandez, while the fans visited the booths of companies and organizations to make their latest purchases. Until the afternoon snack, we were able to listen to interesting talks on the main stage, including one on cultivation with Antonio (a professional 420 grower), another on current legal issues and associations with Alejandro Barrantes (lawyer), and another on feminism in the cannabis community with Gemma Burgos (Las Chicas También Cultivamos).

The cooking show with Chef Saka began at 3:00 a.m., followed by more musical performances from 4:00 p.m. with Mapuxe Sound and Anyelo & Andrea Lutz. And at the last minute, the Kannasur awards ceremony took place, bringing the third edition to a close.

We hope to enjoy the best smokes at the next edition of Kannasur
